Chiang Mai Highlands Golf & Spa resort
Opened in 2005, The Chiang Mai Highlands Golf Club was designed by Schmidt - Curley (you might have admired their work if you visited the Muang Kaew Golf Course in Bangkok).
They attempted (and succeeded) to capture the beauty of Chiang Mai surrounding's hills into a magnificent golf course, exciting for each player, no matter if they are amateurs or pro golfers.
This course is perfectly capable to host world professional tournaments, among the challenges offered we will mention a river that is running through the course, some lakes and quite a few bunkers!
In 2007 this golf course was nominated on a short list consisting of the best new golf courses in Asia by Asian Golf Monthly.
The 18th hole is really memorable, this golf course being considered by some golf players as being the jewel of Chiang Mai's golf courses. The game here might require some strategy skills, as the large undulating greens are not easy, and the bunkers and water hazards will require some skills.
